Graduated Research Technicians

Esmeralda Quintero graduated in Spring 2025 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Systems Science. She is passionate about California’s natural resources, with a particular interest in soils and plants. Esmeralda worked with me 2024-2025 and is now working for SCION.

Isabel graduated in 2024 with a B.S. in Biological Science emphasizing in ecology and evolution. She worked as a bachelor field assistant with me on collecting data on our monkeyflower project, and she assisted in pollinator surveys from 2023-2025. Isabel is now pursuing her Masters degree at UC Davis.

Charles graduated from UC Merced in 2024 and worked as a post-bacchelor leading projects in the lab in 2025. He now works for the Department of Fish and Wildlife in LA county.

Rheanna graduated in Spring 2025 with a bachelors in Environmental Systems Science. She worked with me 2023- 2025 surveying the pollinator community in the Merced Vernal Pool and Grassland reserve. She was instrumental in hand-net, pan trap, pinning, and bee identification methods. Rheanna plans to go to graduate school to obtain her masters.

Selina is a Biological Science major emphasizing in ecology and evolution, and graduated in Spring 2025. She has been collaborating with me since 2023 to survey the pollinator community in the Merced Vernal Pool and Grassland Reserve. Selina plans on going to veterinary school.
